Power Systems Inc. of Florida (PSIF) was incorporated in 1983 by the late James Robert (Bob) Smith. Originally located in Lakeland near the center part of the state of Florida, PSIF later consolidated physical operations in 1995 with a namesake company, PSI of Georgia. Although separately owned, the two companies operated from one location until late 2003 when PSIF moved to its current location in Titusville, Florida along the space coast.
From the inception, PSIF has partnered with some of the leading manufacturers in the fluid power industry. Manufacturers such as Ross Controls (pneumatic products), Oilgear (piston pumps, manifold/systems), MTS Temposonics (linear feedback transducers), and Parker connectors have all been major contributors to our growth over the years. We continue with many of the same manufacturers we began with and have added many others to complement our offering in the hydraulic, pneumatic, and motion control product areas.
The year 2004 was one where PSIF reestablished itself with a physical facility in the state of Florida and many new personnel. Throughout 2004 we saw a strong growth in sales and profits that also came with a stable of start up expenses due to our office start up.
We look forward to a strong 2005 and beyond……all factors point in that direction.
