Power Systems Inc. of Florida (PSIF) was incorporated in 1983 by the late James Robert (Bob) Smith. Originally located in Lakeland near the center part of the state of Florida, PSIF later moved to its current location in Titusville, Fl. As a private, wholely owned small business, PSIF has steadily grown to become one of the leading leading technical fluid power distributors in the state of Florida with a niche specializing in detailed “hands on” attention to customers desiring component and system design assistance. Our location along the “space coast” of Florida has allowed us to be involved in projects ranging from space related ground support operational equipment, entertainment industry requirements, and marine related applications to name a few. We also continue our long standing involvement in the primary wood products market.
From our inception, PSIF has partnered with some of the leading manufacturers in the fluid power industry. Principals such as Ross Controls (pneumatic products), Oilgear (piston pumps, manifold/systems), MTS Temposonics (linear feedback transducers), Continental Hydraulics (industrial proportional/solenoid valves and pumps), and Hawe Hydraulics (mobile proportional/solenoid valves, pumps) have all been major contributors to our growth over the years. We continue with many of these same principals and have added many others to complement our offering in the hydraulic, pneumatic, and motion control product areas.
In 2003 when our move to the space coast area of Florida was complete till today (early 2016), PSIF has been able to establish itself as a primary supplier of motion control components and systems. The move in 2013 to our 17,000 sq. ft facility in Rockledge will ensure our ability to handle future growth and support our ever increasing value added systems business. The ability for PSIF to grow is directly linked to our dedicated customer support personnel and our continued desire to have 100% customer satisfaction.
