An accumulator enables a hydraulic system to cope with extreme pressure surges and/or extreme instantaneous flow demands. In most cases this can allow for smaller electric motor and pumps. It is a type of energy storage device. The accumulators use nitrogen to keep the hydraulic fluid pressurized. When the fluid is pumped into an accumulator the nitrogen (N2) inside the accumulator is compressed. Accumulators are used for hydraulics, oil/gas, entertainment, wood products, and ground support for aerospace systems among many other industrial applications. Additionally, increasing use in the mobile fields allow for smoother on-road and off-road uses for on-board hydraulic systems. Accumulators are compatible with a variety of fluids and pressure ranges and are available in various materials, for a wide range of Power Systems Inc (PSIF) provides an optimal accumulator product range supplemented by accumulator protection equipment on the gas and fluid side, such as temperature fuses, burstdiscs, gas safety valves and other accessories. Our accumulators are versatile, improve the comfort of your machine, protect your hydraulic system and are used to increase the energy efficiency of hydraulic systems among many other functions.
Bladder Accumulators
Bladder accumulators provide a means of regulating the performance of a hydraulic system. In this type of accumulator hydraulic fluid compresses a nitrogen-filled bladder to store pressurized fluids. Capable of operating as low as 20 psi and as high as 15,000 psi, various seal and bladder materials are available for fluid compatibility. Various environmental conditions are met by accumulator shell materials made of steel, stainless steel, and composites.
Power Systems Inc (PSIF) bladder accumulators are comprised of a welded or a forged pressure vessel, the accumulator bladder and the valves and connections for the gas-side and fluid-side connection. They are suitable for storing energy under pressure, absorbing hydraulic shocks, and dampening pump pulsation and flow fluctuations.
Piston Accumulators
Piston accumulators provide a means of regulating the performance of hydraulic systems. They are suitable for storing energy under pressure, absorbing hydraulic shocks, dampening pump pulsation and flow fluctuations. The design of a piston accumulator allows for a piston to separate the gas side from the fluid side of the accumulator. Depending on the application and requirement, bladder style accumulators m ight be detrimental to performance of a system.
Power Systems Inc (PSIF) provides simple, compact, cylindrical designs of piston accumulators to ensure maximum efficiency, dependable performance and long service life. We have been committed to providing high quality piston accumulators into countless applications throughout many industries.
