Burkert offers comprehensive automation systems for closed-loop control of pressure, flow, temperature, and other process parameters.

Primary Metals

The metals market for PSIF encompasses recyclers, primary metals producers, and extruders. The aluminum extrusion industry serves as an example of a sub-market within this sector that heavily relies on hydraulic systems and controls. PSIF has a long history of working with customers in this market, supplying components and retrofitting systems for upgrades and improvements.

Steel producers, as well as those involved in rolling and plate production, are primary users in this market. Primary Wood

The wood products market is likely PSIF’s busiest segment, where we are a strong supplier known for our knowledge, experience, components, and systems supply scope in primary wood breakdown. PSIF has provided complete support in the design of plywood lathe systems, primary sawmill breakdown systems, OSB and particleboard press systems, plywood hot press systems/controls, and numerous other segments.

Lathe hydraulic controls typically present some of the most demanding requirements in a primary wood processing facility, often involving multiple closed-loop control axes, proportional control valves, linear feedback control systems, and various other subsystems that necessitate careful design, proper sizing, and ease of maintenance. This market operates under high production demands, where even minor miscalculations can result in significant losses of recovery and revenue. PSIF also offers the design and installation of complete plumbing systems for this market.

Safety
